Andrew Getz, PhD is the Charles H. Miller Professor of Catholic Medical and Biomedical Ethics at St. Mary's University. He received a Bachelor's degree from Lenoir-Rhyne College followed by a Master's in theology from The Catholic University of America. He earned a Graduate Certificate in Health Care Ethics and PhD in Systematic Theology from Duquesne University in 2006.

Dr. Getz is a member of the College Theology Society, the American Academy of Religion, the Society of Christian Ethics and the Catholic Theological Society of America.. His primary interest is in Roman Catholic moral theology and health care ethics. Dr. Getz has volunteered with The Center for Medical Humanities & Ethics since 2007.
