Stanley Fisch, MD went to South Texas as an NHSC volunteer in 1973. He leads his own group practice and serves as clinical professor of pediatrics at UT Health Science Center San Antonio. Among many professional and community activities, Dr. Fisch convened the region's first hospital bioethics committee in 1982, organized the region's first child fatality review team in 1994, and served in the Texas Medical Association as chair of the Council on Medical Education. He continues a 20-year collaboration with Mexican colleagues to organize bi-national professional education conferences.
