CSL at the RAHC in Harlingen

The UT Health Science Center Regional Academic Health Center's Community Medicine Educational Cooperative provides students, residents and faculty opportunities for stryctured experiences in the areas of intenrational health, public health, environmental health, children's health advocacy, leadership development and community service. The Cooperative includes two signature programs offering 4-week elective rotations, as well as select community service learning activities , that take advantage of the unique learning opportunities available in South Texas and Mexico.


South Texas Environmental Education and Research (STEER) - open to students from accredited U.S. medical and health professions schools, as well as interested health professionals and faculty.


Community for Children: At the Border and Beyond - Open to 2nd- and 3rd-year residents and 4th-year medical students.


Community Service Learning - Open to 3rd and 4th-year Health Science Center medical students who are completing at least part of their training at the RAHC.
