Challenges scheduling
participant continuity
timely acquisition of funding
Lessons Learned LGBTQ+ young adults experiencing homelessness have significantly increased rates of unmet
mental health needs. The current mental health and psychiatric needs of the population of San Antonio and Bexar county far exceeds the capacity of the current healthcare system. There is a clear need for this type of intervention to increase mental health literacy, access to resources, and confidence in personal mental health care.
